What we know
Grand Theft Auto VI is coming out on Thursday, November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 (including PS5 Pro) and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar's site says 'Coming November 19 2026,' and Take-Two confirmed again in its August 7, 2026 earnings call that the game is on track. It's been a long wait. The first trailer dropped in December 2023, and the game slipped from 2025 to May 2026 and then to November.

Pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026. The standard edition is $79.99 in the US. If you pre-order digitally, you can pre-load from November 12, a week early, so you're not stuck downloading a giant file on launch night. The physical version is a box with a download code, not a disc, and it also goes on sale November 12. Store listings show midnight local time, which would be 9 p.m. Pacific on November 18 in the US, but Rockstar hasn't officially announced an unlock time.
Our take
No PC version has been announced, and it isn't coming to PS4 or Xbox One. My tip: clear plenty of storage space on your console the week before, and check your internet plan's data cap.
