What's confirmed
Grand Theft Auto VI launches Thursday, November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar confirms the date on its official site, and digital pre-orders can pre-load from November 12. Physical copies (a download code in a box) also go on sale November 12.
What's not confirmed: the unlock time
Rockstar hasn't officially announced a launch time. Store listings show midnight local time in each region's main time zone. If the US store uses Eastern Time, that would mean the times below, but treat them as a best guess until Rockstar or the stores say otherwise.

Get ready
Pre-load as soon as it's available on November 12. Make sure your console has plenty of free space, and update the system software the day before. If you're buying physical, remember the box contains a code, not a disc, so you'll still need to download the game.
